Dedication of the Marker for the First Vermont Pride March

Officials on June 26 dedicated a state roadside marker at City Hall Park in Burlington to celebrate the site of the first Pride march in Vermont in 1983. Speakers who organized and attended the event spoke about the courage it took to participate. They said the struggle is not over and that the LGBTQ+ community still needs support from residents and government officials.
