With upcoming reapportionment proposals about to create new political lines in Vermont towns and cities, Steve Terry, a longtime Vermont political observer and former journalist took a look back at the history of apportionment in Vermont.
Masks will now be required indoors for people over the age of 5 regardless of vaccination status after the Winooski City Council voted unanimously in favor of the measure at their meeting Monday night.

Despite Vermont is making strides to reach it’s renewable energy goals, and a national goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, hurdles still exist and there is still much progress to make, according to speakers at this year’s Renewable Energy Vermont Conference.
This past summer the Gypsy moth population exploded in the state. There were so many caterpillars, people compared the sound of their feces falling off trees as “rain.” Sometimes sidewalks and pathways were covered in the larvae and there seemed to be Gypsy Moth Caterpillars everywhere.
After last year’s drive-through event, organizers, students, and community members are excited for the River of Light lantern parade to be back in person this year with people carrying their hand-made lanterns through town.
